The Bertram Derthona will play the EuroCup for the next five years. The white and black company is one of the 22 teams that have obtained the multi-year license.

The multi-year license

The white and black club has obtained a five-year multi-year license to participate in the BKT EuroCup. The second most important continental competition organized by Euroleague Basketball.

The Derthona is one of the 22 European companies selected to enter the new project of the competition. Which from the 2026-2027 season will adopt an expanded format to 32 teams.

A license that rewards the Derthona project

The expansion of the EuroCup comes from the strong demand for memberships received by the Euroleague Commercial Assets (Eca) and the objective of guaranteeing greater stability to the participating clubs. The companies were selected based on the results obtained in their respective national championships, but also considering structural, organizational and project aspects.

For Derthona, this is a goal that goes beyond the simple sports result and recognizes the path built in recent years by the company led by the Gavio family.

Great satisfaction in the words of President Marco Picchi, who underlines the value of the recognition obtained. «For all of Derthona Basket, it is a great satisfaction to have been chosen as one of the clubs with a multi-year license».

A sports and organizational challenge
